Almond Appoints Alexandre Deloup as Director of SEAL
Sèvres, October 14, 2024 – Alexandre Deloup has been appointed director of Almond’s newly created Security Evaluation & Analysis Lab (SEAL), which brings together its Analysis division and the Center for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CESTI) operated by Amossys. His mission is to structure SEAL into a high-value-added cybersecurity laboratory with a European scope.
Alexandre Deloup began his career in 2013 as a SOC/CERT analyst at CONIX—which is now part of the Néosoft Group. In 2016, he joined Amossys, where he was appointed head of the CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team) and then head of the Assessment and Analysis divisions in 2023. He holds a master’s degree in computer security from the University of Limoges (2013).
One of Alexandre Deloup’s key responsibilities will be to position the group’s assessment activities on a European scale, with a view to issuing the first certificates under the EUCC (EU Cybersecurity Certification Scheme on Common Criteria) by early 2025. His roadmap also includes the development of new cutting-edge technical offerings, such as consulting on post-quantum cryptography, artificial intelligence security, and security analysis of software components. Finally, SEAL aims to support software development SMEs and startups in adapting to recent changes in European legislation.
Accredited since 2011 by the National Agency for Information System Security (ANSSI), the CESTI, operated by Amossys, is today one of the few French laboratories authorized to assess the cybersecurity of software and network equipment in accordance with both the French CSPN (First-Level Security Certification) scheme and the international CC (Common Criteria) scheme.
“We created SEAL to make it the standard-bearer for French expertise in cybersecurity assessment and certification. It draws on Amossys’ nationally recognized expertise and cutting-edge teams, who combine extensive experience in cybersecurity product regulation with the ability to support our clients on major technical challenges. The SEAL is also a major international development opportunity for Almond, and we are pleased to entrust its leadership to Alexandre Deloup.”
Jean-François ALIOTTI et Olivier PANTALEO, co-dirigeants d'Almond
“The certification of cybersecurity products and solutions is part of the European strategy to build a resilient and secure digital market. For companies in our industry, this is not only a strategic issue but also a key competitive advantage for winning new markets.”
Alexandre DELOUP, Directeur du SEAL (Security Evaluation & Analysis Lab)
